Styling in his sunglasses, Joe Cool (a.k.a., Snoopy) waits for the perfect wave. Turn the throttle and he “rides” the wave down the rails. Will he crash in the surf? Or make it to the beach? It’s fun for the whole family to find out! Peanuts© United Feature Syndicate, Inc.

LBG RhB Tractor Loco Tm 2/2 25
20413

The Rhätische Bahn acquired a series of “tractors” for light switching duties. Today, these little locos are numbered 15 through 26. The new LGB model is a prototypical reproduction of the Tm 2/2 21 tractor in its typical orange color scheme. The gearbox was developed specifically for this model. Despite its diminutive size, the tractor features directional lighting, interior lighting and a factory-installed MTS onboard decoder to allow operation on both analog and digital layouts.

 D&RGW Loco LGB Diesel train

LGB D&RGW Diesel Loco, 50 #20635

This classic Caterpillar diesel was built for the Sumpter Valley Railway in 1937 and made its way to the D&RGW in 1963. Today, you can find it at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, Colorado. This very authentic LGB model replicates the livery and lettering of the original while the powerful Bühler motor and twin traction tires provide plenty of pulling power for all your switching duties. It's equipped with a “DCC interface.” For digital operation, use the MTS Decoder III (LGB 55027) for easy installation or a third-party, DCC-type decoder

LGB Ru KB

LGB Ru,KB Diesel Loco 6003 #20590

The “Köf 6003” diesel loco is another interesting piece of motive power from the Deutsche Reichsbahn’s Rügenschen Kleinbahnen. Naturally, it’s perfect for switching. For example, it can marshal a passenger train of Rügen passenger cars (35353). But it’s also realistic to use the loco to haul the freight cars of a work train. This beautiful LGB model has a completely furnished cab, which is illuminated to show off the detailed interior. Further equipment includes opening doors and functional lighting. For added pulling power, the model includes a traction tire.

20940 Db Loco

LGB DB Diesel Loco V 200 002 #20940

The distinctive V200 caused quite a stir when the series was introduced in the 1950s to pull fast passenger trains. Today, these locos are among the favorites of European railfans, who admire these beauties at railway museums and on private lines. The LGB model is equipped with two powerful Bühler motors, directional lighting and a DCC interface. The DB livery and lettering are entirely prototypical, and with this LGB model, you can honor this diesel pioneer in G scale.

LGB DB Diesel Loco 399 #21590
Cars are barred from the vacation island of Wangerooge on the north German coast, and that has guaranteed the existence of the island’s narrow-gauge railroad. The line employs former military field railway “HF 130C” diesel locos, and to keep these aged locomotives in operation, they have been modernized. As part of that upgrade, they received new cabs, giving them a more modern look and giving the crew a more pleasant working environment. These Deutsche Bahn “399” series locos are much loved by the island’s visitors, and this LGB model is an authentic replica of Number 399 101-5, including the updated cab.

LGB of America announced that it will proceed with plans to produce its own G-scale trains and accessories. LGBoA also announced that its existing inventories of LGB products are generally very good and that it is working with many long-time LGB suppliers on its production efforts.

“Our constant goal is to provide consumers with the quality LGB products they want,” said Tony Castellano, President of LGB of America. “We purchased a tremendous amount of LGB before production ended at Lehmann. We have already announced our new ‘USRA 0-6-0’ loco, and we plan to have fresh inventory before the start of the holiday selling season.”
